The WTAG project is very similar to my AGHM project although on a much smaller scale because it is mostly just a logo and background. Just because it is less doesn’t mean I’m not proud of it. The design is heavily inspired by a 80’s aesthetic. I’m not a fan of clashing typefaces together, but it’s use here is justified(I would say) as it brings that 80’s aesthetic together. The biggest challenge on this project was definitely getting the chrome look around the word “GIMMICK”. All in all, it was a very enjoyable project to work on from start to finish.

The thumbnail template above is very similar to AGHM as both series would be similar and on the same channel as each other(Please do not think all thumbnails I create follow the same formula. I can create much more variation for other projects). Below are examples of completed compositions.

Just like the logo, the animation is very inspired by 80’s aesthetic. Each layer has it’s own way of getting on screen. “Woah!” is masked out with an invisible animated path to appear as if the letters are being written in. “That’s A” has a basic effect that eases the letters into place and “Gimmick” is the most complicated(again) with the mirroring effect and then a shine after. Again like the AGHM project, the music is composed by me.
