About Me
Hello, I am Miguel.
I am known for my determination and passion for design, to create a future with everyone in mind. Bringing a fun personality while also having the discipline to get the job done in an organized and timely manner.
I came up with the name StandardX because using just my first and last name seemed too boring, but I also didn't want to go overboard. This ideology can be seen in much of my work.
Simple, yet unique.
I hope to work with other great people like you to create some amazing content. I'm eager to create anything that can use my skills. Motion graphics, video editing, graphic design, UX design, web design, social media marketing. I love to learn new things and will never stop.
As for my life, I grew up in southern California, where I currently am still and love it. I always had an interest in creation. Starting in elementary school, I started studying the basics of animation on my own. In middle school, I started creating animations and short videos being inspired by YouTube at the time. High school is where things started getting serious as I started thinking about my future and how I could implement the things I love into a career. While in high school, I also started a few clubs that kept me busy almost 24/7. I would create all the graphics, videos, presentations, and more. At first, I questioned whether I would be able to keep up. This also made me question if I would be able to do this professionally. As time went on it didn't get easier, but I got used to the work and it became fun most of the time. With this experience I realized how stressful things like deadlines are and how even if I got my dream job it wouldn't be all sunshine and rainbows. After that experience I graduated high school and went right into getting three college degrees at Mt. San Jacinto. While taking a gap year after graduation and the pandemic starting, I realized I wanted to help people. But "what people can I help with my skills?" is what I asked myself and I discovered UX design. I then completed Google's UX design certificate to add this skill to my arsenal of knowledge in this digital world. Where will my life go next? Will it involve working for you?
If you want to know my hobbies/favorite things: I make YouTube videos now and then. I play video games. Some of my favorite shows are Futurama, The I.T. Crowd, Community, King of The Hill. I listen to all types of music. Comedy movies are my favorite genre. Anything else?
Now that you know about me, do you think I'm right for your job? Need to know more?
