For this project I was given the footage and told to put those 4 main elements you see in the video. It started by tracking the scene in After Effects and then choosing the point for each element. Each element was then designed and animated. Transitions were the next step so the elements would not just pop in. There were also shadows that had a lot of trial and error to get just right in order to make them seem natural in the scene. Finally the most challenging part was masking out the “Working” element that the crane moves in front of. It was the longest process of this project due to the nature of masking and also because this was the first time I worked on something like this. In the end I am very proud of the final outcome. Would love to do more work like this in the future.
