Papa LIVE Identity
Created For [Personal Use] in 2020
Tools used:

The “Papa LIVE Identity” project shown here is a demonstration of work for a live streamer on YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, etc. playing video games. It gives multiple scenes for multiple scenarios(Main scene, intro, intermission, ending, etc.). The scenes are created through multiple tools and put together using Open Broadcaster Software(OBS). Creating and organizing these items together requires the knowledge of live streaming in order to recognize what type of information is needed in the design. All scenes were first planned as a wire frame for the information and then designed around it over multiple versions, improving upon the last. This project is one of the most ambitions personal projects because it uses so much tools to maintain and evolve. To be fully operational it even needs external tools like Streamlabs(which even includes some CSS editing) and Restream.io.
This project really demonstrates my flexibility with use of multiple tools and passion to never stop learning and improving as it’s something that has really evolved with me throughout the years.
Above are updated intro and ending screens using more advanced editing, like real particle physics, in After Effects. Like the older versions, they still seamlessly loop for infinite playback.
A demo of the live stream in action. You can see the intro, main, intermission, and end scenes. The intro scene contains appealing visuals to hook viewers while technically nothing is happening yet. A countdown timer(not shown) is also available to be set easily. The main scene contains important info for a live stream like chat, goals, recent subscribers, music, and of course the main window for game play. The intermission contains one big difference being a slide show of images as to not have viewers look at frozen screen of the main scene when the streamer has to take a quick break. The end scene’s important element is the text to let viewers know this is the end of the broadcast without an abrupt end from the main scene.

The flexibility of the thumbnail and a showing of my love of creating templates for many of my projects, making future compositions easier.

The evolution throughout the years not only of the design of the scenes and composition of thumbnails into overall better aesthetic, but also giving “Papa LIVE” it’s own identity incorporating the purple color that’s been a part of the identity from the start into more of the design.
